The Current Research on Internet-based Medical Services and Its Future

Abstract: With the rapid development of Internet-based medical services (IMS), this industry has drawn much attention from investors, entrepreneurs, residents, governments and academics, and has been hotly discussed in society. Currently, IMS mainly includes online medical service platforms and communities, online medical services, mobile medical services and medical big data analysis. The IMS research and industry still face many problems in terms of the national policy, the medical system, business models, and user groups, which restrict the development of IMS. In the future, IMS research will further develop in the following five areas: the IMS model and policies, its deep-rooted social impact, the special features of IMS, medical text analysis and multi-source medical big data analysis.
